Wolves in the race to sign Wilfred Zaha from Galatasaray

According to ‘The Sun‘, Premier League’s Wolves have joined the race for a potential signing of Turkish club Galatasaray SK’s winger Wilfred Zaha.

The report insists that the Old Gold’s hierarchy is a ‘huge admirer’ of the former Man United winger and is looking to bring him to the Molineux as a potential ‘replacement’ to Pedro Neto, who they recently sold to Chelsea for a staggering sum of about £54 million.

Various reports in the English media have cited that Zaha has fallen out of the pecking order at Galatasaray and the Turkish club is willing to let him depart the club this summer.

‘The Sun’ has raised that Wolves manager Gary O’Neil is also a ‘fan’ of the player and is keen on sighting out options to bring him back to the Premier League. However, it is most likely that the Old Gold’s hierarchy could sort out a loan deal with Galatasaray for the time being that further includes an option to buy – if Zaha manages to prove his worth at Wolves.

Wilfred Zaha netted nine goals for Galatasaray in the previous season of the Turkish top-tier league. However, one of his goals last campaign that grabbed most of the headlines was scored against his former club Man United in the Champions League.

Wolves’ league rivals Everton were reportedly close to signing Zaha in the earlier part of August- before the deal fell through. Reportedly, Crystal Palace also held talks with Galatasaray to bring Zaha back to Selhurst Park.
