Wolfsburg interested in transfer of Liverpool outcast

Liverpool defender Sepp van den Berg admitted his desire to leave Anfield this summer in search of more regular minutes following an impressive loan spell with Mainz last season. The 22-year-old defender has attracted plenty of suitors and the newest arrival to the chase are German giants Wolfsburg.

The young defender played a huge role in Liverpool’s pre-season tour in the United States, but he would struggle to secure his spot in the first-team due to the presence of several senior stars.

Wolfsburg are reportedly ready to match Liverpool’s asking price of around £20 million and believe a deal can be done in the coming weeks.
