Liverpool pushing to sign Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia
Liverpool are interested in the sensational Euro 2024 goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili, who is deemed a potential long-term successor for Brazilian shot-stopper Alisson. Newcastle United were heavily interested in the Georgian goalkeeper earlier this summer and was asked to pay €35-40m for his services.
A move for Mamardashvili could be facilitated as he shares the same agent as Liverpool’s Alisson, which would help in locking a deal this summer. The 23-year-old was valued at €35m but his value might have increased after a stellar European Championship performance.
The young goalkeeper has made 30 saves in four matches in Germany, which is the second-most by a goalkeeper in the tournament’s history.
