Tottenham vs Manchester City player ratings:

Tottenham:

Guglielmo Vicario– 7.5: Made a few superb saves, including a one-handed save off Phil Foden’s volley in the first half. Also kept out Kevin De Bruyne’s powerful drive in the second half.

Pedro Porro– 6.5: Not Porro’s best performance. Was wasteful in possession on a few occasions.

Cuti Romero– 7: Solid performance. Did his due diligence in the defense to make it hard for City to score.

Radu Dragusin– 7: Put on a good display and was overall solid. Dragusin made a heroic block off Bernardo Silva in the first half before the official raised the flag for offside.

Micky van de ven– 7: Played on the left hand side of Spurs’ defense and was solid. Defended well and also played the ball out efficiently.

Rodrigo Bentancur– 7.5: While the Uruguayan made a few mispasses, he was a force moving forward with or without the ball.

Pierre-Emile Hjojbjerg– 7: Took up good positions in the attack on a few occasions. Hjojbjerg, however, lacked energy sometimes and was also a bit error=prone.

James Maddison– 6.5: Could have made more of an impact in a game that was a midfield battle between two sides. Given Maddison’s quality, he lacked the end product.

Pape Matar Sarr– 6.5: Had pace and raw ability. Sarr, however, lacked composure and often lacked the end product.

Brenan Johnson- 7: Johnson was impressive and caused City’s defense issues on multiple occasions.

Heung Min-Son- 6.5: The South Korean wasn’t clinical and squandered a few golt-edged opportunities, including one late in the second half with the game at 1-0.

Substitutes:

Oliver Skipp– 6.5

Gio Lo Celso– 6.5

Dejan Kulusevski– 6.5

Mikey Moore- 6.5

Manchester City:

Ederson– 7: The Brazilian didn’t concede as long as he was on the pitch but had to be replaced in the second half. Denied Bentancur early in the game with a great save.

Josko Gvardiol– 7: Showed his quality by making a few crucial interceptions. The Croat also provided threat moving forward.

Manuel Akanji– 6.5: Was defensively solid. However, Akanji gave away a ball to Son in the second half that could have been very costly for City if the South Korean kept his head.

Ruben Dias– 7.5: Put up a solid performance and was also an aerial threat from set-piece situations.

Kyle Walker– 7: Burst down the right hand side with intent on multiple occasions.

Rodri– 7: Made a few uncharacteristic mispasses. Otherwise, it was a good performance from the Spaniard.

Mateo Kovacic- 7: A reliable performance from a reliable player. The former Chelsea and Real Madrid midfielder showed his quality.

Bernardo Silva– 7.5: Crafted some great moves down the right hand side.

Kevin De Bruyne– 7.5: Set Erling Haaland up for City’s opener and also had a goal effort saved by Vicario.

Phil Foden– 8: His butterly legs and mazy runs were a treat to watch. Foden shsowed glimpses of his talent during the game.

Erling Haaland– 9: On a night where Manchester City needed to score, their talismanic Norweian striker found the back of the net twice.
