Real Madrid attacker Rodrygo’s social media post “Add the R of Rodrygo” sparks buzz

Real Madrid no.11 Rodrygo was quick to delete the post from his Whatsapp channel after seeing things go south.

On his official Whatsapp channel, the Brazilian wrote a post after a 1-1 draw against Mallorca. Even though the rounds about the scenario were fake, Rodrygo’s team confirmed that it wasn’t, and said that the post was taken down after people “misinterpreted it”. However, this is what the post said.

“Hi guys, yesterday the result was not what we wanted. In La Liga, every point makes the difference in the end. I’m happy with the goal and with the growth of the team. Last week they talked about the trio of Bellingham, Mbappe and Vini, but they are going to have to add the R of Rodrygo to that acronym. We have a quartet of attackers and the rest of the team. They all have their importance in the games and will show their value in the different competitions in which we participate. The week will be full of hard work until our next match at the Bernabeu.”

Spanish media have gone frenzy labeling the Real Madrid attack as “BMV” for Bellingham, Mbappe, and Vinicius, excluding him from the spotlight after the UEFA Super Cup win.

After causing quite a stir on social media like X and Instagram, the 23-year-old deleted the Whatsapp post.

While most people did not take it from that angle, the reason remains unknown.
