PSG set condition to sell Manchester United target Manuel Ugarte: Reports
According to L’Equipe, PSG will part ways with Manchester United target Manuel Ugarte only in case of a paid loan. Ugarte joined the Parisian club from Sporting Lisbon for 51 million pounds last summer. He could be on the move yet again this term.
Manchester United are heavily interested in the Uruguayan. Having already signed Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro, Erik ten Hag wants Ugarte to upgrade his defensive midfield. PSG want 59 million pounds for Ugarte but Manchester United want the Ligue 1 giants to soften their stance.
The Parisians don’t want to lose the money they invested on the player. They are reportedly open to accepting a paid loan deal with a lucrative buy option included in the deal. Having already signed Joao Neves, PSG can afford to let Ugarte leave but it seemingly would be in their term only.
PSG midfielder Manuel Ugarte could be a good signing for Manchester United
PSG’s Manuel Ugarte could be a great addition to Manchester United’s rank. Ugarte is 23 and he could certainly give more stability to United’a fragile midfield. Erik ten Hag reportedly wants a young midfield partner for Kobbie Mainoo, a criteria Ugarte fits.
As seen last season, Casemiro is not the same player anymore that he once was. Hence, a much younger Ugarte could be an upgrade to the Brazilian’s current form. He could also be a long-term part of the project.
