Manchester City expecting more offers from Saudi as Al-Ittihad Prepare £50m Bid
Manchester City’s star goalkeeper Ederson has become a prime target for Saudi Arabian clubs with Al-Ittihad reportedly willing to meet City’s £50 million valuation.
This comes after Al-Nassr’s earlier offer of £25 million was rejected by the Premier League champions who value the Brazilian shot-stopper much higher.
According to the Daily Mail Al-Ittihad are eager to secure Ederson’s services and have agreed to match City’s asking price.
This move follows increasing interest from Saudi Pro League teams in bringing top talent to the Middle East. Fabrizio Romano reported that City are keen to keep their first-choice keeper and are negotiating a new deal that includes a significant salary increase to £900,000 per week along with a substantial signing bonus.
However, as per @TeleFootball, Man City are expecting more bids from Saudi clubs and could sell him if a decent offer comes in. For now, the Brazilian star goalkeeper is preparing with the team for the pre-season.
