Premier League clubs such as Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United are set for a big summer of transfer activity and they have shown heavy interest in players from Primeira Liga also known as Liga Portugal. Bruno Fernades, Bernardo Silva, Diogo Dalot, and Ruben Dias are some of the biggest names who came through the Portuguese league and have cemented their status in the Premier League. So let’s take a look at some of the top five valuable Liga Portugal players who can join the English top flight this summer.

The 22-year-old defender is one of the highly-rated versatile defenders in Europe and has attracted heavy interest from the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United this summer. Inacio is valued at a price of £38million despite holding a release clause of £45million. He has established as one of the key members at Sporting CP and could be on his way out this summer.

Manchester United are reportedly out of the race for Inacio with Liverpool the clear frontrunner for the Portuguese international. Inacio is viewed as the ideal replacement for Joel Matip who left Liverpool this summer.

The 19-year-old midfielder has been on the radar of several Premier League giants this summer including Arsenal and Manchester United. Neves experienced an outstanding debut campaign with Benfica registering 55 appearances across all competitions last season. The teenage sensation has built quite a reputation as one of the top midfield prospects in Europe.

The Benfica wonderkid is wanted by some of the elite clubs in Europe with PSG having reportedly made a move as confirmed by club president Rui Costa. Casemiro faces uncertainty over his future and United will likely table an offer for defensive midfielder Joao Neves in the coming weeks.

The young Portuguese centre-back has been linked with a move to Manchester United this summer. The English club have prioritised bolstering their defensive department since Raphael Varane confirmed at the end of last season. Silva who broke the national football team have been identified as a long-term target for the Red Devils but his release clause of €100m have stalled any further discussion between both parties.

The 20-year-old defender has been a regular for his club and country and is regarded as one of the top young defensive prospects in Europe, also attracting overtures from PSG and Real Madrid. Only PSG has the financial power to meet Antonio Silva’s release clause.

The Sporting CP striker has been linked with a move to Arsenal as Mikel Arteta looks to add more firepower to the starting lineup this season. Gyokeres has been recovering from his recent knee surgery and has now returned to pre-season action with the Portuguese champions. He was linked with Arsenal since the start of the year and the Gunners have reignited their interest in the Swedish international.

Since arriving from Coventry City last summer, Gyokeres has bagged 43 goals and 15 assists from 50 appearances and would be a perfect signing for Arsenal.

Diogo Costa has established as one of the best shot-stoppers in Europe after a sensational performance for Portugal in Euro 2024. He has been Porto’s undisputed No.1 since 2021 and has been admired by the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea. His performances in Euros have caught the attention of several Premier League clubs with Chelsea reportedly interested in a move for the Portuguese international.

The 24-year-old goalkeeper has a £65m release clause in his contract and would be a statement signing for Chelsea who are keen to bring in a new goalkeeper in the summer.
