Ivan Toney prepared to stay at Brentford if a big move doesn’t materialize for the English striker: Report
Premier League side Brentford’s striker Ivan Toney has been linked with several top clubs in the ongoing summer transfer window. The 28-year-old is reported to be on the radar of clubs like Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United, Chelsea, and Man United.
However, recent reports have termed that United and Chelsea have cooled their interest in the player. This has landed Spurs and West Ham as the front runners for the potential signing of the England international. Brentford are expected to ask a sum of £50 million for Ivan Toney if he is to depart the club this window.
Despite interest from both Tottenham and West Ham heating up in the last few days, no concrete official reports on any advance talks for the striker between the Bees and any other concerned club has surfaced. As recently termed in by ‘Transfer News Live’ and further backed by ‘talkSPORT’, Ivan Toney is fine with the aspect of completing his current contract at the Bess that runs till June 2025, in case he is not able to grab an expected big transfer this window.
Now this does signify that the player is not willing to sign a new contract with Brentford and is okay with the prospect of ending up as a free agent come the end of the 2024-25 season. However, there is still a decent chunk of time left till the summer transfer window closes, and the chances are that Ivan Toney will get a transfer from Brentford this time around.
