Liverpool inching closer to a deal for Real Sociedad’s Takefusa Kubo
The Reds are reportedly closing in on a move for former Real Madrid attacker Takefusa Kubo, who bagged seven goals and five assists in 41 appearances for Real Sociedad in the last campaign.
The Japan international is viewed as the long-term successor to Mohamed Salah, who has entered the final 12 months of his contract. The Egyptian has been long linked with an exit as he approaches the end of his illustrious career.
Liverpool are reportedly ready to pay £55million for Kubo, who has five years left on his contract with the La Liga outfit. Earlier in his career, Kubo was labelled the ‘Japanese Messi’ for his nimbleness and excellent left foot.
