Inter Miami vs Toronto Preview

  • Tournament: MLS
  • Date: Thursday, July 18
  • Kick-off Time: 12:30 am GMT
  • Venue: Chase Stadium, United States

Inter Miami will face Toronto in the 24th game of the MLS season at the Chase Stadium in the United States. This will be the ninth time both sides meet each other.

The Herons are coming off a disappointing 6-1 defeat to FC Cincinnati in their last game and will aim for a positive outcome on Thursday against a side who have struggled for wins this season. Inter Miami will look to secure the top spot in the Eastern Conference standings after they fell to Supporters’ Shield champions FC Cincinnati. The game is likely to be in favour of Inter Miami who have undoubtedly been one of the strong contenders in the MLS 2024 season.

Meanwhile, the Toronto squad managed a 2-1 win over Philadelphia Union to avoid their eighth successive defeat across all competitions. They are winless in their last seven away matches across all competitions and have not won an away game since late April. John Herdman’s men are currently sitting eighth in the Eastern Conference table.

Inter Miami vs Toronto Prediction

Inter Miami registered one of their largest-ever loss in a regular MLS season with their 6-1 loss at FC Cincinnati. The Herons were remarkably thrashed by the Easter Conference leaders who are a point above Tata Martino’s side. But Miami is expected to win another home game without their talismanic leader Lionel Messi.

Toronto, meanwhile, are witnessing one of their worst seasons in MLS history. They have managed to avoid their eighth successive defeat across all competitions with a 2-1 triumph over the Philadelphia Union in their last game. Despite a win, their head-to-head record against Inter Miami is abysmal but the game could be a tight affair as Miami is missing a significant number of players due to international duty.

Predicted Score: Inter Miami 2-0 Toronto
