Gleison Bremer was born on 18 March 1997 in Itapitanga, Brazil, and his family supported his love for the sport from a young age. His father was an avid football fan and named him after the legendary German defender Andreas Brehme.

Bremer has kept much of his family life private; it is known that his father, Mr. Nascimento, wanted the best for his eldest child out of three by always supporting him to play football. Gleison Bremer grew up in Brazil, impressing his local friends on the street, who mostly displayed solid defending on futsal when Deportivo Brasil took him on. He ended up being one of the best players of his age at the club and would go on loan to Atletico Mineiro, where he had a breakthrough, winning two trophies with the club as they defeated their rivals Flamengo in one of the finals.

He was then signed by Italian side Torino on a five-year deal. He would make over 95 appearances for them, scoring 11 times as a defender, with his key power headers being unstoppable for goalkeepers. His stature and stability to lead the backline was recognized by one of the top sides in Turin itself as Juventus signed the talented Brazilian for a reported 50 million euros. Having made 72 appearances for the club and impressing the fans, he is yet to find stability as fans await his return from an ACL injury to his left knee.

However, he has been quick to recover and get back to his best on the field; he recently suffered a horrific ACL injury to his left knee on 2 October 2024.
