Espanyol 1-0 Real Madrid Player Ratings: Los Blanco suffer a hefty defeat after Mbappe and Vini Jr fail to convert chances

Real Madrid were shocked away at Espanyol with a 1-0 defeat due to their poor performance on Saturday in La Liga. This result will come as a relief for Atletico Madrid and Barcelona as the gap in the La Liga table is cut down. Los Blancos had majority of the ball in the game but was not clinical in front of goal.

The Whites had a goal disallowed around the 20th minute but was disallowed as Kylian Mbappe committed a foul in the build-up. Around the 85th minute, Espanyol took the lead, which eventually turned out to be the winner. A side-footed finish from the left-back Carlos Romero sealed the game against the defending champions.
