Erik ten Hag demands Fulham’s apology for mocking Bruno Fernandes on TikTok

Manchester United manager Erik despises Fulham’s social media team over the new TikTok’s post, portraying Bruno Fernandes pretending to be injured. The former Ajax gaffer said the video was ‘not right’ as he demands an apology from The Cottagers.

On a TikTok video, Fulham displayed a video of Bruno rolling on the floor before getting back on his feet seconds later. The caption saying ‘so glad he’s okay’ with an eye-rolling emoji, showing the London-based is not happy with Bruno’s theatrical act.

“So I didn’t know this but if they did it I would say it is not right,” Ten Hag told reporters when asked about the viral video,” Ten Hag said when asked about the video. “It is absolutely not right that a club makes such a statement because it is totally out of order and wrong and they should apologise for this.”

Ten Hag is not happy

United went on losing the match 1-2 to Fulham at Old Trafford. It was Fulham’s first win there since 2003. For United, the result was their 10th this season, ending the five-matches unbeaten run.

Ten Hag stressed on the point where his player should be protected by the referee, revealing the Portuguese was in a concerning physical condition. During United’s latest outing against Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup, Bruno was a target of numerous hard challenges.

“I thought it was definitely a foul on Saturday and it was really misjudged from the media, from social media, to blame him for that. That was my point yesterday and then opponents are targeting him and that is not right. I think the referee should protect himself because there were fouls on him, even after the ball was kicked away.”

As a captain, Bruno played an important part in United’s gameplay this season as he has participated in 25 matches, scoring three goals in the league. Ten Hag even accused the opponent players of deliberately coming to hurt him in the match.

“He is a very passionate football player and he’s a very creative one, he has created the most chances in the Premier League,” Ten Hag added. “You see opponents are targeting him and especially after Saturday when he had the knock and they see it and then I feel, yeah, the referee should protect him there. They had to change at the start of the game because it was so obvious they were looking for him.”
