Chelsea is all set to embark upon a pre-season tour to the USA. However, a couple of players haven’t been included in the squad traveling initially. The players stand out as the Serbian international goalkeeper Djorde Petrovic and new signing Omari Kellyman. This has raised certain doubts among the Blues fans as to what’s the real reason behind their non-inclusion in the traveling roaster.
According to ‘Football London’, goalkeeper Djorde Petrovic is nursing a small injury issue. He is still recovering from it and is expected to be fully fit soon enough. His undisclosed injury is reported to be nothing serious at this stage. In fact, the player is likely to join his Chelsea teammates in the USA a bit later.
This will certainly come across as a satisfactory piece of news to the Blues’ fans as Petrovic delivered several good performances for the Stamford Bridge-based club in the last Premier League season under former manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Coming to Omari Kellyman who arrived from Aston Villa in a deal worth around £19-21 million earlier this window, the youngster is reportedly set to remain at the Blues’ training facilities and prepare himself for the upcoming season. He is also termed to be nursing a minor injury concern, which is denoted to be nothing to be worried about.
