Chelsea continue their pursuit of Samu Omorodion

The Blues are still in the market for a new centre-forward, despite the arrivals of Marc Guiu and Omari Kellyman this summer. Chelsea gave up on Victor Osimhen after learning that the mammoth signing package was required to sign the Nigerian striker.

But Chelsea have now taken an interest in 20-year-old Atletico Madrid striker Samu Omorodion, who is currently representing his country Spain at the Olympic Games in Paris. The Blues believe it would take €70m to sign the talented forward.

However, Atletico Madrid are keen to tie the youngster to a new contract, which would increase his asking price to €120m and steer away any potential suitors this summer.
