OFFICIAL: Chelsea outcast Malang Sarr completes move to RC Lens

Ligue 1 side RC Lens has completed the signing of Chelsea defender Malang Sarr on a two-year contract until the summer of 2026 with an option of an additional year. The 25-year-old defender spent the 2022/233 season on loan at Monaco, but did not see any action last season.

The Frenchman terminated his contract with Chelsea after mutual agreement, but there has been no official announcement from Chelsea. When Sarr was signed in 2020 on a free transfer, it looked like a brilliant piece of business but the defender never managed to hit the ground running at Stamford Bridge.

Sarr will now be delighted to end his nightmare spell at Chelsea and return to the French top-flight.
