Chelsea closing in on Victor Osimhen in a swap deal

The Nigerian forward has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge for a while now in a structured swap deal that also involves Romelu Lukaku going to Napoli. Osimhen has a £113m release clause which has steered any potential suitors this summer.

The 25-year-old striker will initially join Chelsea on an initial loan deal with an option to buy while Lukaku will make a permanent move to the Serie A giants. Napoli cannot afford Osimhen’s steep wages, so Chelsea are more than willing to take the Nigerian this summer.

Both clubs are now really close to agreement on a mutually beneficial deal in this summer transfer window.
