Chelsea closing in on teenager Gabriel Mec

The Blues have reportedly reached an agreement with Brazilian player Gabriel Mec on personal terms and have opened talks with his club Gremio over a possible transfer this summer.

The 16-year-old wonderkid is reportedly valued at around €20 million and is one of the highly-rated teenagers from South America. Chelsea have reportedly offered €7m plus €7m in add-ons whereas Gremio are holding out a fixed fee of €10m plus €10m in potential add-ons.

Gabriel Mec is yet to make his first-team debut for Gremio but has already made his mark in the Brazilian Under-20 Championship, with one goal in six matches.
