Kaka’s divorce happened because he was “too perfect”

Former Brazil and AC Milan star Kaka’s ex-wife Caroline Celico has revealed that he never betrayed her, but he was ‘too perfect’ for her. The pair were married for 10 years before eventually parting ways in 2015.

In an interview with The Sun, Celico revealed that she felt something was ‘missing’ in their relationship and that Kaka was just ‘too perfect’ for her.’

“Kaka never betrayed me, he treated me well, he gave me a wonderful family, but I was not happy, something was missing. The problem was, he was too perfect for me.”

Since separating, Kaka and Celico have both remarried. While Celcio married her longtime boyfriend Eduardo Juliao in September 2021, Kaka got engaged to Carolina Diaz earlier this year, with the star sharing pictures from their ceremony on his social media accounts.

Kaka was a ‘perfect’ footballer too

In his heydays, Kaka was a terrific midfielder. His stint at AC Milan truly made him a star as the Brazilian was at the peak of his powers, guiding the side to numerous honors, including the Champions League in 2007, a feat that eventually fetched him the Ballon d’Or too. He moved to Real Madrid in 2009, following which his career declined dramatically as fitness issues threatened to derail his career. Even a return to Milan in 2013 couldn’t revive his career, as Kaka eventually hung up his boots with MLS side Orlando City in 2017.
