Barcelona’s Roque Rejects Al-Hilal’s Offer for the Second Time
Barcelona’s Vitor Roque has turned down another lucrative offer from Saudi club Al-Hilal and this was the second time he has turned down a deal from a Saudi club.
Transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano reports that despite Barcelona’s eagerness to offload Roque due to his underwhelming performance over six months, the young Brazilian remains firm on staying in Europe.
Last week Roque initially rejected Al-Hilal’s approach indicating his preference to either stay at Camp Nou or move to another European club.
This week Al-Hilal renewed their efforts with an improved financial package yet Roque declined again.
Al-Hilal are keen on securing a young striker and are now exploring other options with Aston Villa’s John Duran emerging as a primary target.
While Roque’s future remains uncertain as his brief 15-minute appearance in the recent friendly Clasico suggests that Barcelona’s coach Hansi Flick is ready for his departure. The situation leaves Roque at a crossroads with his next move eagerly anticipated by fans and pundits alike.
