Barcelona to activate Nico Williams release clause

Barcelona have reportedly told Nico Williams’ representatives that they will be activating his release clause. They have sorted their finances to make the sign the Athletic Bilbao star this summer.

As per a report by Alex Pintanel, Barcelona are ready to beat Chelsea and other clubs interested in signing Willaims this summer. They are aware of the €58 million release clause and are ready to pay the whole amount.

Bilbao have made it clear that they will not be negotiating any deal and will only be letting Williams leave if the clause is activated. They are keen on keeping the player, but are helpless if the clause is activated.
