Arsenal now contemplating a move for Joan Garcia

The North London giants have identified Espanyol goalkeeper Joan Garcia as a perfect replacement to Aaron Ramsdale who is expected to secure a permanent deal to Southampton in the coming hours.

They submitted two offers for the Spaniard reported in the region of €20m but Espanyol are holding out a €30m transfer fee for the 23-year-old goalkeeper. The Catalan club claim Arsenal needs to pay the goalkeeper’s release clause to orchestrate his departure.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have agreed on personal terms with Bournemouth shot-stopper Neto and will only sign him if they fail to make a move for Garcia.
