OFFICIAL: Man Utd confirms loan move for Rhys Bennett to Fleetwood Town

Manchester United defender Rhys Bennett has completed a season-long loan move to Fleetwood Town where he would be eager to get more first-team opportunities. The 20-year-old spent the last season on loan Stockport County and was a part of United’s pre-season tour in the United States. 

“Manchester United defender Rhys Bennett is to spend the 2024/25 season on loan at Fleetwood Town,” read a statement on the Premier League club’s official website.

“The FA Youth Cup-winning captain, who scored in the 2022 final victory against Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford, has joined the League Two side for the campaign and could make his debut in Saturday’s game at AFC Wimbledon.”

The Carrington academy graduate is expected to make his debut this weekend against AFC Wimbledon.
