Barcelona defender Lenglet set to join Atletico Madrid on loan

Barcelona have agreed a deal with Atletico Madrid to send centre back Clement Lenglet on loan to the Wanda Metropolitano. Lenglet is expected to extend his Barcelona contract for another year upto 2027 to make more salary space for the Blaugrana before heading to Atleti.

It is expected to be a simple loan deal with no option to buy. Atletico Madrid will pay the main part of the Frenchman’s salary. Medical tests are expected to take place on Saturday, as per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
