Ranking the 10 Best Football Kits of 2025–26 Season

As the 2024/25 football season draws to a close, the excitement builds up towards the new season. Teams will start announcing new kits even before the season concludes. Recently, the tradition of debuting next season’s jersey on the current season’s final matchday has come up. With that in mind, we will take a look at the best football kits for the upcoming 2025/26 football season. We have gathered our rankings from the official announcements and trustworthy leaks.

Over the years, football kits have become much more than a simple piece of fabric. More and more awareness is being brought to the manufacturing of the kits, their usability and their cultural significance. With the world moving towards sustainable products everywhere, emphasis is placed on manufacturing kits sustainably. Clubs and kit manufacturers are coming up with innovative solutions to create their kits with renewable materials.

Their ability to provide maximum comfort to players is much appreciated. Finally, a football kit’s aesthetic importance can’t be ignored. With that in mind, let us take a look at some of the best looking football kits for the 2025/26 season.

What We Looked for in Today’s Top Football Jerseys

Sustainable Manufacturing: Manufacturers are keen to find new ways to produce football kits. They are turning towards biowaste products from which they can source the kits, and used plastic is one of the famous base materials to produce kits. By recycling, they are decreasing their carbon footprint.

Comfort for the players: Jerseys have to be as light as possible for the players to put in world class performances. Recently, new technologies like active absorption have become a part of the fabrics. They must provide intelligent sweat absorption, minimal sticking to the body and maximum stretching for the players to move freely.

Aesthetic: Now this one is for the fans. A factor that solely the fans will judge a kit on is based on its looks. They will be more concerned with the appearance of the kit. The finer attention to detail, the colour palette used and the themes displayed on the kit all play a key role in the fans judging the kit.

Top 10 Best Looking Football Kits

The kits included in our best football kits list are based on official releases and a bunch of trustworthy leaks. All these kits in this list are set to be produced by some of the best and biggest sports apparel players in the game. While a few names on this list have come as a surprise, the remaining are the usual suspects who are famous for producing the best football kits year on year.

Nearly all kits on the list meet the first and second criteria. Hence, the ranking was done on the third criterion, which is ‘aesthetics’.

10. AC Milan – Puma

The first thing that meets the eye for AC Milan’s 25-26 potential away kit is the stylised devil logo. Named as Il Diavolo, it replaces the traditional club crest. The kit combines the club’s traditional away colours, black, red and white and the design was inspired by the club’s 1981-82 away shirt. This kit was won during a difficult spell for the club as they were relegated after a disastrous campaign. However, this time around, they hope that they can pray for better luck.

9. Inter Milan – Nike

According to leaks Nike gave a modern twist to Inter Milan’s classic jersey. They took the usual blue and black stripes and tweaked them so that they read the word “INTER” and they have also used the turquoise blue for the Swoosh and the club crest. This was the first time this colour was used instead of the usual white. Nike is expected to launch the kit soon. They have accidentally leaked the kit on their website earlier.

8. Bayern Munich – Adidas

Adidas is holding all the cards close to its chest regarding this highly anticipated home kit. They have not revealed it till now and also postponed the tradition of wearing next season’s jersey during the last match of the current season. Given that it is the 20th anniversary of the Allianz Arena, they wanted to launch the new kit during the anniversary event. The kit is rumoured to integrate the colours of red and white while having a huge ‘M’ in the middle of it, and is presented in the manner of a fading sound wave. It also has a standard white collar thanks to the Tiro 25 template. This kit will either be a fan favourite or one that completely tanks. There is nothing in between for them.

Did you know what was Juventus’s first kit colour? You would’ve thought it was either white or black, right? Allow us to tell you that it was pink. Pink and black were the first colours of Juventus during their inception. Adidas wanted to teach a bit of history and brought back the pink into their jersey yet again for the 25/26 season. As a nod to the club’s roots, they introduced pink logos and trims into the kit. There were a couple of away kits that featured pink, but this is the first time they’ve gone back to a pink home kit in many years.

6. Arsenal – Adidas

Adidas have taken a walk down memory lane when they rolled out Arsenal’s football kit for the 25/26 season. They said they wanted to explore ‘The Heart of Arsenal’ when they were designing this season’s kit. The human heart was taken as a creative device to take the supporters on an emotional journey. They have printed a gothic ‘A’ on the shirt repeatedly. The ‘A’ in gothic font first appeared in the ‘Victoria Concordia Crescit’ crest seen on the matchday programmes in the 1949/1950 season. The gothic ‘A’ was also a mainstay of their classic 1990-91 league-winning season.

5. Ajax – Adidas

To celebrate the 750th anniversary of the city of Amsterdam, Ajax has launched its new home kit with retro features. The classic colours of red and white were the mainstay, as multiple homages were paid around it. First was the return of the classic club crest as announced earlier. The crest also has the iconic Amsterdam flag. A pennant at the back of the jersey stands out. It highlights the city’s founding year, 1275, the 750th anniversary year, 2025 and the city’s iconic three St.Andrew’s crosses. The crosses were used to create an eye-catching graphic pattern in the massive red stripe of the jersey. The stylish collar and the sleeve cuts make this jersey a must-have in your wardrobe if you’re looking for the best football kits.

4. Atalanta United – Adidas

A surprise package on the list, we must say. Adidas has hit this one out of the park by coming up with one of the best-looking football jerseys for the MLS club Atalanta United. The kit manufacturers have kept it simple yet made a huge statement. Keeping their design in line with a Phoenix’s journey, they described the jersey as a way to rise back to the top with the might of Atalanta United. They incorporated a Phoenix, the historical symbol of the city’s resilience, near the embroidered crest. The club’s artwork and illustrious history were also embroidered on the back collar. The choice of keeping a glowing blue colour as the jersey’s base made it even more incredible.

3. Paris Saint-Germain – Nike

Nike has been a faithful servant of PSG. They have released multiple special kits for the club and have often collaborated with their own brands, like Air Jordan, to release limited-edition kits. This season, they have stuck to the roots and made a kit that echoes Paris’ ethos. The kit was leaked online thanks to a kit-themed backpack, and its authenticity was verified later on. The jersey used a classic Hechter design with a ‘Midnight Navy’ colourway. It has red and white stripes on the jersey, along with the colours of the French national flag on the sleeves. The geometric pattern in the middle was inspired by the Eiffel Tower, and the overlapping V-shaped collar, which was a huge hit last season, was also retained. This layered jersey is such a drastic change from the simple kit of the previous season.

2. Manchester City – Puma

Puma too went down the route of throwbacks when they sat together to decide the jerseys of Manchester City for the 25/26 season. The iconic sash on the jersey was such an important piece of the history of Manchester City in the early 1970s. It was also a defining feature of the club. That feature was called back a few times in recent times, but it was always in the away jerseys. Puma decided to pay tribute to it and bring it back on the home jersey to introduce their history to a new generation of fans. The jersey looks absolutely clean with its simple sky blue colour having a sash painted with a brush running from too left to the midriff diagonally. This choice of not making the sash a simple straight line gives a sense of vibrancy to it, creating a sense of movement and dimension on the shirt.

1. Liverpool – Adidas

‘The worst-kept secret in football’ was the announcement line chosen by Adidas to let the world know that they were back with Liverpool FC. The iconic kit makers were associated with Liverpool in their most successful period during the 1980s. After a period in the wilderness, the two forces have joined hands again. They announced a new deal rumoured to be five years long, and the club is set to make £60 million per year. Adidas wasted no time in showing off their admiration for the club by making a fantastic kit that was leaked online. The kit could easily be described as the club’s best home kit in over a decade. They decided to go with a ‘Strawberry Red’ colour with white logos. There is an absence of a collar and the inclusion of a debossed graphic. It is an ode to their iconic 2007 jersey. Adidas is rumoured to have used different crests for different jerseys of the club for this season.
