3 Premier League clubs who should go after Mauricio Pochettino transfer

Mauricio Pochettino is a free agent again after he parted ways with Chelsea and is ready to take up a new challenge. The Argentine was with the Stamford Bridge side for the last one season.

The former Tottenham coach has no way back to the North London side this summer as Ange Postecoglou has sealed his spot for another season. However, there are other sides that Pochettino can take over.

The Argentine is still regarded as one of the best managers around and at 52 years, he still has a lot of time left in his career. Without further ado, here are 3 Premier League clubs he can takeover this summer:

#3 – Newcastle United

Newcastle United were in the UEFA Champions League this season after finishing in the Top 4 during the 2022/23 season. However, Eddie Howe’s side are now waiting for the result of the FA Cup final to know if they will have European football next season.

Howe is under pressure, and if the Magpies decide to move on, the best option right now is Pochettino. The former Chelsea manager can take them to a level where they can challenge for Top 4 every season.

The squad at St James Park is decent and has a good mix of experienced players and youths.

#2 – West Ham United

West Ham United are an ambitious club and were interested in hiring Ruben Amorim earlier this year. The Hammers have not announced Julen Lopetegui just yet and it would not be a surprise if the board had their heads turned by the Pochetno news.

While Lopetegui is still a good option, Pochettino has done a lot better at three different Premier League clubs than the Spaniard. The former Wolves manager is still likely to takeover at the London Stadium, but the option to being in the Argentine is available for the Hammers.

#1 – Manchester United

Manchester United look like the best possible destination for Mauricio Pochettino this summer. The former Tottenham man has been linked with the Red Devils for some time, and are still keeping tabs on him.

Moreover, INEOS were looking to appoint him at OGC Nice and could make the move one again. They are looking to part ways with Erik ten Hag this summer as the Dutchman has failed to get them back to the UEFA Champions League.
