Nottingham Forest continue their brilliant streak, winning six Premier League games in a row as they completed a comfortable 2-0 win over their rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers, thanks to goals from Morgan Gibbs White, Chris Wood and Taiwo Awoniyi. This win puts Forest in third, tied on points with Arsenal at second while Wolves barely hang on outside the relegation spot for now.

The game was off to an entertaining start, as the ex-Wolves man Morgan Gibbs White opened the scoresheet for the visitors in a clinical counterattack. While Wolves tried to establish dominance after the goal, it was Forest who found the joy again, as Hudson Odoi linked up with Chris Wood in another breakaway.

The second half was not as entertaining as the first half, as neither team got good enough chances. While Wolves were constantly trying to do something in the Forest box, they only created sparse chances and did not really test Sels. The hosts tried to shake things up with substitutions, but nothing really changed. Nottingham Forest were happy enough to concede these low-effort chances and tried to break out into attacks themselves occasionally. They delivered the final blow when the substitute Taiwo Awoniyi did brilliantly to stay onside and finish off a brilliant counter attack, started by Milenkovic.

Doherty: 6/10 – The wingback converted centreback displayed a professional performance, helping the team in buildup play and often clearing out attacks.

Bueno: 6/10 – A standard display from the centre-back, with no notable things in exhibition.

R. Gomes: 5.5/10 – He was involved in buildup play and he tried to move the ball forward.

Ait Nouri: 7/10 – The full-back marauded forward and glided past the opposition on multiple occasions, but his end product was not good.

Midfielders

Doyle: 7/10 – He disrupted the visitor’s attacks with fouls but got booked for a late challenge, resulting in a substitution.

J. Gomes: 6.5/10 – He was good, often tying to switch play when in possession.

Forwards

Hwang: 6/10 – The South Korea tried to replace Matheus Cunha but unfortunately, despite getting some decent chances, he was unable to convert them.

Guedes: 5/10 – Attempted to shoot from distance twice, but other than that, the attacker was not very useful.

Strand Larsen: 7/10 – A constant aerial threat in the game, troubled the keeper but could not get on the score sheet.

Sels: 7/10 – Another fantastic display, as he was quite active in the game to make saves to keep his side in the game. But none of the saves he made were very hard.

Aina: 7/10 – The Nigerian right-back continued his incredible performance, showing complete control on both ends of the flank.

Milenkovic: 6.5/10 – A professional display from Milenkovic, who kept the attackers at bay for a majority of the game. His pass was fantastic to start a counter attack that led to third goal.

Murillo: 7.5/10 – His passes were fantastic tonight, which were one of the biggest reasons for his side dominating in attack. His free-kick, despite missing the target, was an ambitious attempt.

N. Williams: 6.5/10 – A solid performance on the defensive side but was lacking to contribute on the attacking end.

Midfielders

Dominguez: 6.5/10 – A decent game from him, trying to pick out attackers with his passes, but got booked so he got subbed in the second half.

Anderson: 6.5/10 – An unnecessary sliding challenge from him, lead to a yellow card. He tried to get on the scoresheet in the second half and got subbed off quite soon after that attempt.

Gibbs-White: 8.5/10 – The ex Wolverhampton man, who is also captain of his current side now, showed the hosts what they are missing. He scored an excellent goal and was a continuous attacking threat.

Forwards

Elanga: 7.5/10 – Another electric display from the Carrington academy product, who got rewarded with an assist.

Wood: 7.5/10 – Chris Wood is absolutely unstoppable, as he took his chance well and doubled the lead for his side.

Hudson Odoi: 7.5/10 – He matched the energy of his counter-part, looking lively and came out with an assist overall.
