Wolves vs Fulham Preview, Prediction and Betting Tips

Wolves vs Fulham Match Preview

Tenth placed Wolverhampton Wanderers will host 12th placed Fulham at the Molineux Stadium in the Premier League on March 9.

Wolves enter this game on the back of a decent run of form. They have won three of their last five games and have kept two clean sheets during that run. They have shown a trend of their games going one way or the other, as Wolves have also failed to score in two of those five games. Their last outing was a 3-0 humbling at the hands of Newcastle United at St. James’ Park. The hosts will look to make the most of home advantage in their next one.

The Cottagers, on the other hand, have lost just once in their last six games as they continue their ascent. They have secured three wins and two draws in that span and have also kept two clean sheets. Scoring doesn’t seem like a problem for Fulham, who have netted 11 times in their last five games. Having defeated Brighton & Hove Albion 3-0 at home last time out, they will look to continue their winning run away from home.

That said, let’s take a look at the team news coming out of both camps.

Wolves vs Fulham Team News

Wolves

Manager Gary O’Neil will have to deal with a few injury concerns in the attacking department. Striker Matheus Cunha has been out for a while and missed the last game, as did Hee-Chan Hwang. Pedro Neto came off injured in the win against Brighton at half-time.

Goalkeeper Jose Sa, too, was replaced at half-time and is a big injury doubt ahead of the next game. They have 30-year-old Daniel Bentley as backup but will hope the Portuguese is fit in time.

Manager Marcos Silva will be without two key players for his team’s trip to Wolves. Midfielder Joao Palhinha and striker Raul Jimenez have both been out for a few weeks and are likely to return towards the end of March.

The rest of the squad managed their last game well and there were no new injuries to report at full-time.
