Wolves table offer for Lazio’s goalkeeper: Report

As per a recent report by ‘Football Fancast‘ backed by ‘Sport Witness’, Premier League club Wolves have tabled in an offer of around £17 million for Serie A side Lazio’s goalkeeper Christos Mandas.

The report further had it that, the Italian club might find it hard to say no to that kind of offer from the English side. However, it must be laid out that even if the Old Gold succeeds in bringing Mandas to Molineux before the transfer window shuts, he may not be looked upon as the first-choice keeper by Gary O’Neil.

As of now, Mandas’ role could be more of providing a back-up option to Jose Sa, or even emerging as a healthy competition to him over a period of time. It’s quite interesting that reports in the English media have also sustained that Wolves have Arsenal’s goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale also quite high on their list of potential transfer targets.

However, Ramsdale could prove to be a slightly tougher one for the Midlands-based club to get over the line. This is when it can be inserted that, Christos Mandas looks more of a feasible option for Wolves’ at this point in time.

Another goalkeeper that Wolves are reportedly keeping tabs on is Crystal Palace’s Sam Johnstone. This is after the Eagles making it clear that, Johnstone is free to leave the club this transfer window.
