Wolves interested in signing former Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel

The West Midlands outfit has taken an interest in singing former title-winning Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel. The son of legendary Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel, Kasper is currently available as a free agent upon expiry of his contract with Anderlecht.

The 37-year-old goalkeeper represented Denmark in the European Championships in Germany this summer and is now looking for his new club after their exit from the last 16 stage.

Schmeichel has raised his stock after his performances in the Euro 2024 and it is understood that the veteran wants a return to the Premier League after having turned down a move to Saudi Arabia this summer.

Wolves boss Gary O’Neil wants some experience between the sticks and the club are now trying hard to seal Schmeichel on a free transfer. The 37-year-old became a legend at Leicester City after winning the 2016 Premier League title and making 479 appearances for the Foxes.
