Wolves eye Sheffield United’s center-back after Max Kilman’s sell to West Ham

According to ‘The Sun’, Premier League club Wolves are eyeing a potential move for Championship club Sheffield United’s center-back Anel Ahmedhodzic. The defender is reported to be valued at around £20 million by the Blades.

Gary O’Neil’s Wolves recently sold their former Captain and center-back Max Kilman to league rivals West Ham for a hefty chunk of around £40 million. Since then Old Gold has been linked with a few defenders in the ongoing summer transfer window.

Names like Nico Elvedi and Thomas Beelen have also been specified as the players shortlisted by the English club to fill in that center-back void. As per ‘The Sun’, Anel Ahmedhodzic wants a move to the Premier League as he desires to continue playing in the league after Sheffield United’s relegation.

In the last Premier League season, the 25-year-old made 31 appearances for the Blades. His tackles involved in (64) to tackles won (36) ratio stood out as over fifty percent. Apart from his impressive defensive contributions, Ahmedhodzic also netted two goals for Sheffield United in the last English top-flight season.

He could emerge as a perfect option for Wolves to play alongside Craig Dawson in the defensive line or even start on the bench as a strong substitute option. It remains to be seen how things progress on this one.
