Wolves eye Borussia Monchengladbach defender to fill in Max Kilman’s void
As reported by ‘Sport Witness’ and backed by German media outlets, Premier League’s Wolves are eyeing a potential transfer move for Bundesliga club Borussia Monchengladbach’s defender Nico Elvedi. Reports had it that the Old Gold agreed upon personal contract terms with the player last year but the deal fell through.
Wolves have witnessed the departure of their former captain and center-back Max Kilman to league rivals West Ham United recently. So, Gary O’Neil’s side might need to act quickly in the window to fill that void. It seems like Nico Elvedi is on the list of the targets the clubs had in mind for this window.
Elvedi made 30 appearances for Monchengladbach in the last Bundesliga season. His current contract with the German club runs till June 2027. The center-back reportedly has a release clause of about €8.5 million (as per ‘Football Fancast’).
