West Ham vs Arsenal Player Ratings as Saka and Rice Scores in six-goals thriller win

Arsenal handed West Ham United their heaviest home defeat in the Premier League on Sunday. The Gunners scored six goals in the game, which saw thousands of the Hammers supporters walk out before halftime.

Mikel Arteta’s side did a lot of good for their goal difference at the London Stadium. They were six goals off Manchester City in the goal-difference section but are now level after thrashing the Hammers. However, they remain third in the table as they have scored three goals fewer than Pep Guardiola’s side.

William Saliba opened the scoring in the 32nd minute from a Declan Rice corner and opened the floodgates at the London Stadium. Bukayo Saka doubled the lead from the penalty spot in the 41st minute before Gabriel made it 3-0 from another set-piece in the 44th minute.

David Moyes’ side were hoping to go into the quickly, but Leandro Trossard made things worse by adding a fourth in injury time. The goal saw thousands of West Ham supporters exit the stadium quickly as they had seen enough in the London derby.

Saka went on to add another right after the hour mark to make it 5-0 for the Gunners. Rice, who was back at the London Stadium for the first time in the Premier League since leaving in the summer, scored a stunning goal from range in the 65th minute to seal a 6-0 win for Arsenal.

Without further ado, here are the player ratings:
