Virgil van Dijk’s future in doubt as Liverpool eye the Dutch defender’s replacement
According to reports by ‘TEAMtalk’ and ‘CaughtOffside’, Premier League giants Liverpool’s star defender Virgil van Dijk could be heading for an exit from Anfield in the ongoing summer transfer window. Reports have revealed that the Dutch international defender is open for a move and is likely to consider options if approached with viable offers.
Amidst all this, Liverpool are aware of the situation are keeping tabs on any potential suitor they could bring in to fill Virgil van Dijk’s void in case he departs the club. A recent report by ‘TEAMtalk’ signifies that the Reds have made an enquiry with the Seria A club Juventus for their Brazilian defender Gleison Bremer.
Bremer is regarded as one of the most promising defenders from the Seria A after his stellar performances in the last Italian top-flight campaign. He was the pillar of a Juventus defense that only conceded 31 goals in their tally of the matches the whole Seria A season.
The 27-year-old has a strong build and is equally potent in the air as well as with the ball on his feet. He can certainly emerge as a player that could easily fit into Arne Slot’s plans at Liverpool if van Dijk is to leave this summer. The center-back played 36 matches for Juventus in the previous Seria A season. Apart from his defensive contributions, he also scored three goals for his side.
