Uruguay vs Panama Player Ratings: Darwin Nunez scores in 3-1 win
Uruguay managed a 3-1 win against Panama in their Copa America 2024 clash at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. Maximiliano Araujo, Darwin Nunez, and Matias Vina were on the scoresheet for Marcelo Bielsa’s team. Michael Amir Murillo pulled one back for Panama, which turned out to be a consolation.

Nahitan Mandez– 7.5: Did well for a defense that was overall good apart from conceding a late goal against Panama.
Ronald Araujo– 7: Made four clearances and won four aerial duels. Araujo also completed 27 passes.
Mathias Oliveira– 6.5: Made four clearances and won four duels in total. Oliveira also completed 35 passes during the game.
Matias Vina– 8.5: Was defensively solid and also contributed key passes moving up the pitch. Vina scored a goal for his side as well, completing a spectacular display.
Midfielders:
Fede Valverde– 8: As always, a solid display from the Real Madrid midfielder. Was responsible defensively and helped the team moving forward.
Manuel Ugarte– 7: The PSG midfielder showcased his defensive responsibility. He was also very adept with passing the ball around.
Maximiliano Araujo– 8: Solid performance from Araujo, who also got on the scoresheet and was pivotal in Uruguay’s win.
Giorgian De Arascaeta– 7: Had a shot on target and made a key pass. He was also solid in duel situations for his team.
Facundo Pellestri– 7.5: Pellestri tried to make the difference whenever he could. He also showcased work ethic by helping his team out defensively.
Forward:
Darwin Nunez– 7: The Liverpool striker caused problems for the Panama defense and also managed to get on the scoresheet.

Edgardo Farina– 6: Was not defensively as solid as his team would have liked to be. Came out second best on multiple duel situations.
Jose Cordoba– 6: Much like Farina, was defensively vulnerable. The entire defense looked a bit lackluster and conceded three goals.
Roderick Miller– 6.5: Was good in duel situations but a bit wasteful on the ball. Failed to provide the reliability that his teammates would have liked.
Eric Davis– 6: Davis didn’t have the best game and showed defensive lapses on multiple occasions.
Midfielders:
Jose Luis Rodriguez– 7: Passed the ball around well and also showed good determination to win it back for his team.
Cristian Martinez– 6.5: Showed good work ethic but was often wasteful in possession.
Adalberto Carrasquilla– 6.5: Did well with his passing and also managed a shot on target. However, could have had a more solid presence in the midfield.
Yoel Barcenas– 6.5: Showcased his ability in limited instances. Barcenas, however, wasn’t very impactful.
