Tottenham’s Ange Postecoglou rules out more signings before deadline
Tottenham Hotspur’s transfer window appears to be closing with no further additions expected.
Manager Ange Postecoglou has stated that Spurs are unlikely to make any more signings unless a surprising opportunity arises. Despite a busy summer, the Australian coach believes the squad is set for now.
“Yeah, I think so unless something surprising jumps out. No, I think that is it.” said Ange Postecoglou.
Postecoglou acknowledged that the team could use an extra centre-back but hinted that new signing Archie Gray could fill that role if necessary.
Postecoglou also provided updates on the futures of Giovani Lo Celso and Sergio Reguilon. Both players are in the final year of their contracts and require permanent transfers before the deadline.
Tottenham hopes to offload them as loan deals are not a viable option given that they would be free agents next summer. With the clock ticking, Spurs face a crucial decision regarding the duo’s departure.
