Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag committed to keeping Jadon Sancho
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has firmly stated his intention to retain Jadon Sancho despite ongoing transfer speculation.
Chelsea have shown interest in the winger with reports suggesting a potential swap deal involving Raheem Sterling.
But Ten Hag dismissed these rumours, emphasizing Sancho’s importance to the squad. “As far as I know, I expect him to stay,” Ten Hag confirmed during his press conference.
The Dutch coach highlighted the need for squad depth, particularly with the demanding fixture schedule ahead due to the Europa League.
In a separate development, Ten Hag addressed the departure of Scott McTominay to Napoli in a £25 million deal.
McTominay, a long-serving player with over two decades at United, was let go to accommodate new signing Manuel Ugarte.
Ten Hag expressed regret over McTominay’s exit, citing financial constraints as the driving factor behind the decision. “He was so important for our team,” Ten Hag noted, acknowledging the midfielder’s significant contribution to the club.
