Tottenham vs Wolves: Player Ratings as Kulusevski Shines and Son Struggles in 2-2 Draw

Tottenham have dropped points once again, and this time after coming from behind. They are now 11th in the table and could slip to 14th in Brentford, West Ham United and Manchester United pick up wins this game week.

Wolves are now two points off the relegation zone and an impressive start under the new manager. They will be happy with the point as the result could have gone either way.

Bentancur equalized for Tottenham minutes after Hwang scored for Wolves in the first half. Son missed a penalty late in the first half, but Johnson scored late to ensure they went into the break with the lead.

Postegoclou’s side looked set to collect all three points, but Larsen came off the bench to score a late goal and get a draw for Wolves. Here are the player ratings from the match:

Goalkeeper

Fraser Forster – 6: Made just one save in the match and made just one save in the game. Should have done a lot better for the second goal they conceded.

Defenders

Pedro Porro – 8: Excellent from start to finish today. Never looked like he was going to put a wrong and got the assist for their equalizer.

Radu Drăguşin – 6: Not his best game but Tottenham player would be proud of him as he played despite being an injury doubt as they were short on numbers. He won just one duel today but stayed on Wolves forwards throughout the match.

Archie Gray – 7: Played as a center-back today and impressed. He won all his duels and was rock solid at the back.

Destiny Udogie – 6.5: Another injury worry for Tottenham as the left-back came off injured today.

Midfielders

Yves Bissouma – 6: Did not get involved a lot and was just running around to get the ball for his team. He was taken off just after the hour mark.

Rodrigo Bentancur – 7: Back from a suspension and will now miss the next match after picking up a booking today. He scored on his return and will be happy with his performance.

Brennan Johnson – 6: Isolated the whole time he was on the pitch but managed to get the goal that gave them the lead. Many would question if he played for the penalty, but he did what any forward would do in that situation.

Dejan Kulusevski – 9: Man of the match once again as he was running the show and also creating the chances. He has been their best player this season and they would suffer without him on the pitch.

Heung-Min Son – 5: There is nothing Son can do right at the moment. He failed to score from the spot and was struggling to get involved in the game.

Dominic Solanke – 6: No shot on target today, but he was getting into good positions, but was marked out most of the time.

Jose Sá – 6: Had to make just one save in the match today and should have done better for the goals he conceded.

Defenders

Matt Doherty – 6.5: Not his best performance but he showed his former side that he can do well in the league.

Santiago Bueno – 6.5: Another impressive display from the Wolves star in the middle of the defense. He was on Solanke’s toes all the time and managed to win all his duels with the striker.

Craig Dawson – 6.5: Decent performance at the back as he handled Solanke well. He sat back and helped out in managing Kulusevski, too.

Midfielders

Nelson Semedo – 6.5: Up and down the right flank but hardly get into the game. He failed to get any of his crosses to his teammates in the box and created just one chance.

André – 6: Unlucky to give away the penalty and was taken off in the second half as he was chasing shadows most of the time.

João Gomes – 7: Played the whole match and was doing quick to charge down the Tottenham players. He won almost all his duels and did not commit a single foul.

Rayan Ait Nouri – 8.5: He is a target for several clubs in England and he showed why today. He assisted both their goals today and was running the show for his side.

Jean-Ricner Bellegarde – 6: Hooked off at half time as he was unable to impact play. He was playing safe and was chasing the ball most of the time.

Matheus Cunha – 7: Played just 45 minutes but impressed once again. He was running the show today and

Hee-Chan Hwang – 7: Played just under 80 minutes and he would be delighted with his performance. He scored with his only shot in the game and was running around to help his teammates.
