Tottenham in the race for Wolves’ Portuguese winger valued at a price tag of about £50 million

According to ‘Birmingham Live’, Premier League’s Tottenham Hotspur is interested in signing Wolves (Wolverhampton Wanderers) winger Pedro Neto in the ongoing transfer window. However, it is termed that Wolves will not be pursuing a deal for the Portuguese player, for anything less than £50 million.

Pedro Neto’s current contract with the Old Gold runs till June 2027. As per reports, Wolves are in no hurry to sell him at this point. The club also doesn’t need to sell heavily in aspect to balance their books for the PSR and FFP purposes like they had to in the last summer window.

However, it is expected that there could be one major outgoing in this window from the squad in order to let Gary O’Neil invest in order and build the team going into the next season.

‘Birmingham Live’ has reported that Tottenham’s Technical Director – Johan Lange ‘has initiated’ formal discussions with Wolverhampton Wanderers to accommodate a potential deal for Pedro Neto.

It should be noted that Neto is a player prone to injuries, and that has shown in the last couple of seasons, where he has missed a decent chunk of games for Wolves. But still, the kind of threat he brings into the team, backed by his sheer talent, Spurs may have to empty their pockets a bit in order to bring him to London.
