Tottenham eye 26-year-old Juventus forward
According to a recent report from ‘Football London’, Premier League’s Tottenham Hotspur is lining up a move for 26-year-old Juventus forward Federico Chiesa. The Serie A player had a decent last season at the top tier of Italian football.
Federico Chiesa had 13 goal contributions (10 goals and three assists) for Juventus in his 26 appearances in the previous Serie A campaign. His current contract with the Italian club runs out in June 2025. This makes him a feasible target for Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham.
The majority of the reports in the English media have dished out that Spurs are looking for attacking options in this window, and despite Richarlison’s future at the North London club still being uncertain, Postecoglou wants to add to their firepower at the top of the pitch.
While Spurs have managed to bring in Timo Werner for another season-long loan deal, a player like Chiesa could further add to their goal-scoring prowess. As per ‘SportMediaSet’, the 26-year-old could head to the Premier League club for a mere sum of around €30-35 million. But ‘Football London’, believes talks for Chiesa between Tottenham and Juventus are yet to go on the advancement stages, and the London club might not go for him.
It remains to be seen which way this transfer saga turns in the upcoming days as the summer transfer window approaches its end.
