Tottenham and Arsenal to ‘revisit’ interest in Brighton’s winger: Report

As per a recent report by ‘Football London‘, Premier League clubs Tottenham Hotspur and league rivals Arsenal are ready to ‘revisit’ their interest in Brighton & Hove Albion’s winger Simon Adingra. Both the clubs had reportedly earlier made an approach for the player, which got shrugged off by the Seagulls.

HITC‘ laid out that both Spurs and Arsenal were heavily interested in signing Adingra from Brighton in various parts of this transfer window and inquired about the player’s transfer price. The winger is termed to be valued at around £26 million as of now. The Seagulls are reportedly reluctant to let Simon Adingra depart the club.

The Ivorian footballer scored six goals for the Seagulls in his 31 outings last Premier League campaign. Adingra also netted in the club’s 3-0 win over Everton in this season’s opening fixture at the Amex Stadium.

Arsenal had a quiet below-par transfer window so far, with little to talk about in terms of major incomings except a couple of defensive signings. So, to bolster his team’s attacking options, Mikel Arteta and the Gunners might be tempted to poach Simon Adingra before the window shuts down.

Spurs, however, added reinforcements in players like Archie Gray, Dominic Solanke, and Wilson Odobert. The report from ‘Football London’ insists that Adingra was considered as the winger option before the signing of Odobert, but as Brighton shrugged off the inquiry for the player, Tottenham went ahead with the Burnley man.

However, Spurs are still keen on Brighton’s Simon Adingra and have him on their shortlist of transfer targets.
