Tottenham and Ange Postecoglou unwilling to repudiate interest in Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher: Reports
Premier League’s Chelsea are reportedly quite stubborn on their price tag for their England international midfielder Conor Gallagher. Despite the player being in his last year of contract at Stamford Bridge, the Blues are reluctant to let him go for anything less than £40 million.
Chelsea has already rejected La Liga club Atletico Madrid’s initial offer for Gallgher, which is deemed to be in the region of £30 million. As per ‘TEAMtalk’, the Spanish club is though willing to offer a slightly higher valuation in order to make another effort to sign Conor Gallagher, but ‘Sky Sports’ has termed that differences still remain between Chelsea and Atletico at this stage regarding the transfer value for the England midfielder.
When one comes to Chelsea’s fierce Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur, reports earlier deemed that Ange Postecoglou has Gallagher quite high on his list of transfer targets for this window. Spurs could really use a player like him, especially in the way that their Australian Gaffer sets up his team.
‘Sky Sports’, has deemed that the North London club is serious about their interest in the player and do not want to let this opportunity to sign him this summer slip away. Further ‘TEAMtalk’ reported that Tottenham is preparing a bid of around £35 million in order to sign Gallagher.
Even though their initial bid might not match Chelsea’s current valuation for Conor Gallagher, it would certainly bring them closer to signing him and give their local rivals something to ponder upon.
