10. Paul Scholes – 155 goals

Paul Scholes came through the club’s reserves and scored 155 goals in 718 appearances for them, along with providing 81 assists.

While he was mostly known for his passing ability from deep and controlling the game, the Englishman also scored many goals from outside the box during his career. He only played for United before retiring in 2013.

9. Mark Hughes – 163 goals

Mark Hughes also came through Manchester United’s reserves before moving to Barcelona in 1986. He then returned to Old Trafford after two years and stayed until 1995.

Overall, he scored 163 goals in 467 games for the club, providing 19 assists. He helped them win two Premier League titles, among other honors.

8. Ryan Giggs – 168 goals

Joe Spence has the same number of goals as Ryan Giggs but is higher on this list because he achieved the feat in 510 appearances. He was a key member of the squad, which mostly competed in the Second Division after the First World War.

6. George Best – 179 goals

George Best joined Manchester United’s U18 side from Glentoran in 1961 and spent 13 years at the club. He scored 179 goals and provided 11 assists in 470 games, winning numerous team and individual honors.

Best helped the club win two top-flight titles and one European Champions Clubs’ Winner trophy, among numerous honors. He also won the Ballon d’Or in 1968 before leaving in 1974 to join Jewish Guild.

5. Dennis Viollet – 179 goals

Dennis Viollet scored 179 goals in just 293 games for the Red Devils during his nine-year stay at the club. He scored 32 goals in the league in the 1959-60 season, which is still a club record.

Jack Rowley joined Manchester United from Bournemouth in 1937. He scored 211 goals in 424 games for the club, winning multiple trophies. He was a main part of the team after the Second World War before leaving in February 1955 to join Plymouth Argyle.

Law scored 46 goals across competitions in the 1963-64 season, which remains a club record. He won two league titles and one European Champion Clubs’ Cup Winner trophy, among other honors. He also won the Ballon d’Or in 1964 before leaving in 1973 to join city rivals Manchester City.

2. Sir Bobby Charlton – 249 goals

Another absolute legend in footballing history, especially English football, Sir Bobby Charlton is second on the list. He is regarded by many as the greatest English player of all time.

Sir Bobby Charlton was one of the few survivors of the tragic Munich Air Disaster of 1958 along with the aforementioned Dennis Viollet. He made 758 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring 249 goals and providing over 18 assists.

Charlton won three league titles with the club, among other honors. He also won the Ballon d’Or in 1966 before leaving in 1973.
