Stefano Pioli and Arthur Theate are not joining Al-Ittihad following the club’s executive resignation

Stefano Pioli and Arthur Theate were very close to joining the Saudi side Al-Ittihad. However, the deal collapsed after the club’s president, or as per now former president, Loay Nazer, stepped down from his position.

🚨🟡⚫️ Stefano Pioli’s appointment and Arthur Theate’s move to Al Ittihad, both definitely collapsed.

After president Loay Nazer’s decision to resign, all deals have been cancelled and Pioli & Theate won’t proceed in talks with Ittihad.

Nazer was the person who was eager to bring those names to King Abdullah Sports City. With him leaving the club, nobody would take over the process and the club would have to find another candidate for the managerial position.

According to multiple reports in Saudi, Nazer left his position due to ‘differences in contractual’. This issue leaves Al-Ittihad without a manager as the Saudi side is still looking for a new guy following the departure of Marcelo Gallardo last month.
