Southampton interested in Sunderland forward Jack Clarke

The Saints have taken an interest in young winger Jack Clarke who is set to make a permanent move this summer. He had a breakout campaign with Sunderland last season scoring 15 goals in 40 appearances and attracting interest from a number of English clubs.

Despite his side falling to a 16th-place finish, Clarke enjoyed a stellar campaign on a personal level and has caught the attention of Premier League giants Southampton and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Southampton have been monitoring the 23-year-old winger but his valuation of £20 million is putting them off. Clarke has two years remaining on his contract at the Stadium of Light who has established himself as one of the brightest young talents in second tier of English football.
