Bristol City are interested in Japanese winger Yu Hirakawa
Bristol are set to make their second signing of the summer with Yu Hirakawa on a loan deal with an option to make the deal permanent next year. The 23-year-old winger has spent the last four seasons with Tokyo-based J-League side Machida Zelvia.
He is currently representing Japan Under-23 at the international level and a report suggests that a negotiation has been reached between both parties. Hirakawa will become the first Japanese to play for Bristol City and will also become the third forward from Japan to transfer to the Championship over the last 12 months.
Hirakawa has enjoyed a fine string of consistent performances and will feature for his country in the Olympics, so he will delay his arrival in the West Country.
