Sevilla in talks to sign Atletico Madrid’s Saul
The midfielder has been offered a three-year contract…
Sevilla are reportedly advancing in talks to sign Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul, according to transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano on X. The Spaniard is apparently no longer a part of the club’s plans and is seeking a move away from the Wanda Metropolitano.
The Sevillistas have offered him a three-year contract with negotiations currently underway. Sevilla’s local news outlet ElDesmarqueSevilla FC have reported this too.
Having come through the ranks at Atletico’s youth academy, Saul broke into the senior team in 2012 and has been a key player for them ever since. He’s made 427 appearances in all competitions and scored 48 times, many of which have notably been against top sides as the midfielder made it a habit to step up in the big games.
During his time at the club, Saul also saw brief loan spells at Rayo Vallecano in 2013-14, and most recently at Chelsea in 2022, neither of which were really memorable.
