Saudi Pro League’s Al-Ittihad in advance talks for appointing Laurent Blanc

As per ‘L’Euipe‘, Al-Ittihad is currently in ‘advance talks’ with French football manager Laurent Blanc for a potential managerial slot at the club. The report states this has come across after, The Saudi Pro League‘s club’s last attempt to appoint former AC Milan manager Stefano Pioli fell through.

Laurent Blanc is currently without any club. He left his previous position as the manager of Ligue 1 side Lyon FC in September 2023. Blanc was sacked by the club after a string of poor results and performances. His preferred formation is termed to be 4-2-3-1, which might suit Al-Ittihad as they have played with a back four lately. It would be interesting to know if the Saudi side manages to complete a deal for the 58-year-old or not in the coming days.
