Saudi Pro League announce 2024-25 fixtures with an innovative plan

The Saudi Pro League will commence on Tuesday, August 22, 2024. The opening game of the new season will see champions Al Hilal take on Al-Okhdood in their first title-defending game of the campaign.

The Roshn Pro League (RSL) will have 34 game weeks where all Saudi Pro League clubs will play an astounding 306 matches this season. The games have been meticulously scheduled to fit in international breaks, continental games and Saudi Arabian Federation tournaments.

It has also been revealed that no fixtures will take place during the last 10 days of the Ramadan month.

What are the Saudi Pro League magic rounds?

The ‘magic rounds’ are the newest addition to the Saudi Pro League this season, where they will feature a triumvirate of derby clashes where home teams will clash each other in matchweek 9 and 26.

In this new concept, Riyadh teams Al Hilal will take on Al Nassr where Al Ettifaq will go head-to-head against Al Qadsiah from the Eastern Province. Jeddah’s home teams Al Ahli and Al Ittihad will face off against each other.

The magic rounds will add a new dimension of exhilarating play which has been introduced to maximize international attention on the Saudi Pro League.
